Our Ledgers

Keen and Kindly - the adventures of a British Filipino Mormon | Roadtrip to Wales
Face the sign

You know it when you see it. This time around we didn’t cross a bridge, but the sign is still there. You know you’re in Wales when it starts getting tricky to read the signs.

Face the sea

That day marked the first time I greeted the sea this year. Back then it used to be so close, so easy. There was no question that the water would be warm and you’d be running on hot sand.

Face adversity

It was a real shock to the system. The first time we went to the beach early into the year, I screamed soon as the cold grappled my thighs. The first time I went to a British beach, I might have cried inside at how cold it was but like many things in life, we must adapt, endure and enjoy the journey.

There is beauty and joy even in the roughest and hardest chapters of our lives.

Let’s face it. Our faces are the ledgers of our experience. We collect memories, knowledge and wisdom with every smile, grin, scowl, frown, laugh, scream and surprise. Always remember, whatever good or bad you face, you don’t have to face it alone.

You are loved beyond measure.
You are made of strong things.
You are meant to learn, to succeed.
You are here in this world to have joy in the now and the eternities to follow.

The choice is yours.
